Lacey Smith received a Bachelor of Arts degree in History with a distinction in Leadership Studies from Birmingham-Southern College, where she was on the women's volleyball team and was named to the Dean's List. She received her J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 2007, where she was named to the Dean's List and participated in the Street Law Program. A Mobile native, Lacey's practice primarily consists of general civil litigation with a focus on aviation law, healthcare and professional liability defense, and complex business litigation. She is a member of the Alabama and Mississippi Bar Association and is actively involved in the Young Lawyer Section of the Mobile Bar Association.
Lacey is active in several local organizations including the Mobile Volunteer Lawyers Program and the South Alabama Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which selected her as a candidate for its 2014 Man and Woman of the Year campaign. Lacey was recently named to the 2015 class of Mobile Bay Monthly's "40 Under Forty" and she was selected as a Rising Star in aviation law by the 2013, 2014 and 2015 editions of Alabama Super Lawyers magazine.
