Sherri Rich Ginger manages a general aviation and aerospace practice, which includes the representation of a leading provider of sophisticated instrumentation and communications products, defense electronics, and data acquisition for commercial aviation aircraft; a well-known manufacturer of piston engines and components for general aviation aircraft; helicopter operators and component manufacturers; providers of overhaul and repair services for general aviation aircraft; and insurers and companies with respect to aviation-related claims.  Sherri has litigated and tried complex aviation cases in both state and federal courts.  She has been awarded the “AV” rating by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating for legal ability and ethical standards.  Sherri began her career practicing law in Los Angeles, California at the Harriett Buhai Center for Family Law, where she provided free legal services to the indigent and victims of domestic abuse, and is a member in good standing of both the California and Alabama State Bars.

Secured a favorable settlement for general aviation manufacturer in wrongful death action following the 2015 three-fatal crash of a Cessna 310 near Ada, Oklahoma.

Won a defense verdict for general aviation manufacturer in a 2011 6-week jury trial in federal court in Mobile, Alabama in a case involving two paraplegic injuries following crash of a Piper Lance near Bardstown, Kentucky in 2006.

Secured a defense verdict for general aviation manufacturer in the 2012 trial of a wrongful death case following the crash of a Beech Bonanza near Louisville, Kentucky in 2008.

Obtained a dismissal of a wrongful death action for general aviation manufacturer on filing a motion for summary judgment, following the 2008 three-fatal crash of a Beech Baron near Whites Creek, Tennessee.

Secured a favorable settlement for general aviation manufacturer in an action for wrongful death following the 2010 forced landing of a homebuilt Lancair IV-P on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina that killed a jogger.

Secured dismissal of wrongful death actions for general aviation manufacturer following the 2010 three-fatal crash of a Cessna 421B in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

Obtained dismissal of actions for personal injuries and wrongful death for general aviation manufacturer after the court granted a summary judgment motion based upon the General Aviation Revitalization Act of 1994 (GARA), following the 2010 crash of a Piper Lance II near Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in two deaths and two serious injuries.

Secured a favorable settlement for general aviation manufacturer in actions for wrongful death following the seven-fatal crash of a Cessna 421 near Demopolis, Alabama in 2011.

Obtained a dismissal of personal injury action in federal court for a helicopter component part overhauler after filing a motion for summary judgment.

Secured a favorable settlement for general aviation manufacturer in an action for wrongful death following the crash of a Cirrus SR22 near Newcomerstown, Ohio in 2012.

Secured summary judgment based on GARA for general aviation manufacturer in an action for wrongful death following the two-fatal crash of a Piper Saratoga near Kirksville, Missouri in 2013.

Obtained a dismissal of wrongful death action for general aviation manufacturer after the court granted a motion to dismiss, following the 2013 four-fatal crash of a Cirrus SR22 in Freeport, Grand Bahama.

Secured dismissals of two actions following the forced landing by parachute of a Cirrus SR22 near Pocatello, Idaho in 2014, resulting in minor injuries to two occupants.  Subrogation action for property damage filed in federal court was dismissed after the court granted a motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction.  The United States District Court for the Tenth Circuit affirmed the order of dismissal in a published opinion.  [link]  Separate action for personal injuries filed in state court was similarly dismissed after the court granted the motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction.
