Armbrecht Jackson announces hire of Kirk Palmer

Armbrecht Jackson LLP is proud to announce the hiring of David Kirkwood Palmer Jr. as an associate attorney.

Kirk joins Armbrecht Jackson after working at Phelps Dunbar LLP, where he advised and represented clients on matters including wrongful death litigation, premises liability, medical malpractice, insurance defense and complex commercial disputes, among other business transactions.

Before his time at Phelps Dunbar, Kirk served as legal counsel at Lone Star Funds, a private equity firm in Dallas, Texas, where he advised on fund formation, capital raising and securities, foreign regulator programs, investments and corporate governance.

During law school, he interned for Judge Kristi DuBose of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Alabama and clerked for the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations.

Before law school, Kirk served as a legislative aide for Congressman Gary Palmer and as a regional political director for the campaign to reelect Senator Richard Shelby and interned for Shelby and the Heritage Foundation.

A graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law, Kirk finished in the top 20% of his law school class, worked on the Mississippi Law Journal and was a member of the Moot Court Board. He has been admitted to the Alabama, Florida and Texas bars.
