Ben is a native of Mobile and a graduate of Auburn University (2000) and Cumberland School of Law (2003).  Ben has practiced law in Mobile since 2003, during which time he has concentrated his practice to the areas of energy law, with an emphasis on oil and gas matters in both Alabama and Florida, general civil litigation, real property matters, and complex collection litigation.  Ben has successfully transacted numerous oil and gas deals and frequently practices before the Alabama Oil and Gas Board.  In addition, he has defended and prosecuted a variety of cases at the trial and appellate levels.  Ben has been rated AV Preeminent by his peers and has been further rated by Super Lawyers in the area of Energy Law.  Ben frequently handles pro bono matters on behalf of the South Alabama Volunteer Lawyers Program and is active in several organizations, including the Mobile Bar Association, where he was past president of the Young Lawyers Section, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Alabama, and coaching youth sports.
