Matthew Smith was originally born in Atlanta, GA, but moved to Mobile at a very young age and grew up here. After graduating with honors from Baker High School, he attended the University of Southern Mississippi where he received his B.A. in Political Science in 2017. He then went on to attend the University Of Mississippi School Of Law where he received his J.D. in the spring of 2020. During the summers while he was attending law school, Mr. Smith gained invaluable experience working as a legal intern for Justice Dawn Beam of the Mississippi Supreme Court, as well as, Judge Katharine Samson of the Southern District of Mississippi Bankruptcy Court. Mr. Smith is an active member of the Alabama State Bar and Mobile Bar Associations. Mr. Smith joined Armbrecht Jackson LLP in the fall of 2020, focusing his practice on medical malpractice defense, products liability defense, employment law, and bankruptcy.
