Armbrecht Jackson partner named chair of Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute

Armbrecht Jackson LLP is proud to offer congratulations to partner M. Kathleen Miller, who is serving as the 2024 chair of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute.

Ms. Miller has practiced law with Armbrecht Jackson LLP in Mobile, Alabama, since receiving her juris doctor from Tulane University School of Law in 1980 and was managing partner of the firm from 2009 to 2018.

A member of the Alabama Bar, her practice focuses on admiralty and maritime law, insurance coverage and professional liability and business litigation. She is also a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation, and she is scheduled to co-teach the Admiralty course at the University of Alabama School of Law this spring.

SEALI is an organization of over 500 admiralty attorneys and maritime professionals dedicated to providing a forum for admiralty law practitioners in the Southeastern United States.

 

Additionally, Ms. Miller is a member and past president of the Mobile Bar Association, the Mobile Bar Foundation, and the Paul W. Brock Chapter of the American Inn of Court. She is a member of the Maritime Law Association of the United States and a Fellow of the Alabama Law Foundation. She presently serves as Chancellor for Alabama of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast and as Honorary Consul of Norway.

Armbrecht Jackson attorney named to 2024 class of 40 Under 40

Armbrecht Jackson LLP is proud to announce that attorney David Anthony has been named to Mobile Bay Magazine’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2024.

Mobile Bay Magazine highlighted David’s return to Mobile after three years spent practicing law in Washington, D.C., as well as the honors he has garnered in his career.

“Since joining Armbrecht Jackson LLP in 2017, he has been included several times in the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list, given to lawyers who showcase outstanding professional excellence in private practice, and was nominated to chair the probate section of the Mobile Bar in 2019,” Mobile Bay Magazine explained.

The magazine also highlighted David’s role as the presenter of probate law continuing education courses for the National Business Institute, as well as the monthly column he writes for the Mobile Bar Bulletin.

Outside of work, David works with the Boys and Girls Club of South Alabama and is a founding member of the Blow House Brass Band.

David earned his bachelor’s and juris doctorate degrees from the University of Alabama.
